Dental Implants in
Kitchener & Waterloo, ON

For a Radiant Smile That Lasts

Our Kitchener-Waterloo team uses dental implants to permanently replace missing or damaged teeth due to decay, disease, or dental trauma.

One of the best tooth-replacement options on the market, implants replace the entire root, rather than just the crown. Dr. Ashraf crafts beautiful porcelain crowns with our innovative technology and expert techniques to precisely match your natural teeth.

The crown sits on top of a CeraRoot zirconia implant, a metal-free screw, which is then implanted directly into your jaw. This allows the screw to act as a natural tooth root, keeping the jawbone from deteriorating and your other teeth from shifting.

How You’ll Benefit From Implants

Our restorative dental implant solutions are comfortable, long-lasting, and provide a completely natural look to your smile. They restore daily function such as eating and speaking, lower your risk of further health issues, and encourage you to laugh with confidence again.

Dental implants provide a number of advantages compared to other tooth restoration solutions, such as:

  • Improves physical appearance
  • Enhances ability to chew easily
  • Increases comfort and convenience
  • Restores jawbone density

Our Effective Implant Solutions

Dr. K. Ashraf is an experienced dental implant provider, trained in placing single implants, All-on-4 implants, and implant-supported dentures.

Our Kitchener-Waterloo team will guide you step-by-step through your restorative treatment to ensure you feel comfortable throughout the process towards a stunning, new smile.

Single-Tooth Replacement

Our single dental implant restorations are crafted to replace missing teeth while restoring the natural aesthetic and function of your smile. The implant blends with your jawbone through a process called osseointegration to provide lasting support for your new crown.

All-on-4 Implants

Whether you’re missing all or most of your teeth, All-on-4 can restore your smile using four implants to secure a set of dentures in each arch. Compared to traditional dentures, All-on-4 provides stability and comfort almost immediately — with fewer implants.

Implant-Supported Dentures

For patients seeking a permanent solution, implant-supported dentures are secured to your jaw bone, so you don’t have to worry about your dentures sliding around. This natural-looking restoration provides maximum comfort and reliable support.

How long does the dental implant process take?
The dental implant process varies from patient to patient, depending on each unique case. In most cases, the process takes about four to six months including the healing period.

However, it may take longer if you require a supplemental procedure to improve your oral health prior to the procedure.

Does the dental implant procedure hurt?
We provide safe dental sedation options to help alleviate any pain or discomfort during your implant procedure. Our staff will be with you every step of the way to ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the process.
How long will my implants last?
With good oral hygiene and dental care, a dental implant is designed to last a lifetime. This means regular brushing, flossing, and check-ups to your Kitchener-Waterloo dentist. However, a dental crown may need to be replaced after 10 to 15 years.
I have dentures. Will dental implants still work for me?
If you’ve been wearing dentures for a while, you may not have sufficient jaw bone to support a dental implant. During your initial consultation, Dr. Ashraf will examine your oral health and determine whether you’re a candidate for implants.
How much do dental implants cost?
The cost of dental implants differs for each patient and a number of factors. This includes your medical history, oral health, and how many implants are placed. We’ll provide you with a more accurate cost during your initial consultation with Dr. Ashraf.

Fortunately, Dr. Ashraf offers several financing options to help make dental implants an affordable solution for our patients. Give us a call at (519) 725-9585 to learn more.

Will my insurance cover dental implants?
Every dental insurance plan is different, which is why it’s important to discuss your coverage with your insurance company prior to your initial consultation. If you’d like, our staff can contact them for you to ensure you receive the maximum benefits possible.

Welcome Back

Life has been anything but normal this spring and we sincerely hope you and your family are in good health. We are happy to inform you that we are now able to once again provide dental care for you and your family. The Ministry of Health has lifted the restrictions placed back in March. While many things have changed since then, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety. Our office has always followed strict infection control standards and in order to keep us all protected during this pandemic and in the future, we have updated our protocols. When we see you at your next appointment, things will be a little different.

• We will ask some screening questions before your appointment and you’ll be asked those same questions again when you’re in the office.

• You may be asked to wait outside our office or in your car and call us when you arrive and then wait for a call back to let you know when you can enter the office.

• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the clinic. There are more dispensers around the office for you to use as needed. As well, you will be provided some gloves to wear. We recommend that you bring your own mask to wear prior to entering the clinic.

• Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines or children’s toys since those items are difficult to fully disinfect.

• Appointments will be spaced out to allow for physical distancing between patients. That might mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointment, but it will also reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

• You may be surprised that we’re wearing more protective gear – such as masks, face shields, gowns – than we normally do during your visit.

Rest assured, all these procedures are designed to create the safest environment for you, other patients and our team. We have undergone some renovations during this time. All operatory suites have been fully enclosed with glass windows and doors. This will ensure that all aerosols will be contained in the operatory. Prior to COVID-19, we had already installed Hepa filtration systems in all operatories and waiting areas. These systems are from Surgically Clean Air.

We look forward to seeing you again. If you have any questions, please let us know. To make an appointment, call our office at 519-725-9585 or email us at info@ashrafdentistry.ca.

Thank you for patience and loyalty throughout this ordeal. We value your trust and look forward to welcoming you back!

Sincerely,

Dr K Ashraf and the whole Dental Team.
